Why It’s Special?

Sculptra is the only one of its kind on the market. Sculptra (poly-L lactic acid) is a tiny molectule injected which stimulates collagen and volumization in the face over time. It is NOT a filler. Sculptra is like planting growth seeds, once injected they are dispersed under the skin and over time begin to grow. This growth is seen in the form of healthy, subtle, natural volume in the areas injected. Because Sculptra helps your body produce the volume this product continues to last for years. It is a great addition to any injectable regimen. Depending on the amount of volume desired this can be done in a single session up to 3-4 treatments one month apart. Nearly everyone can benefit from Sculptra!

Frequency of Treatment

A single treatment can be performed with 1-2 vials depending on the amount of volume desired. Most full face treatments require 2 vials 
Repeat treatments maybe performed every month up to 4 treatment cycles
Annual Sculptra maintenance is recommended

You may NOT be treated if you are pregnant or nursing, have difficulty swallowing, nerve injury or weakness in the lower face, or an infection in the area. Inform your medical provider if you are on blood thinners, or have had procedures or surgery of your lower face or neck.

 
 
 

 Prior to your Sculptra treatment:

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Aleeve, Aspirin, Motrin one week prior.

  • Avoid supplements which thin the blood including Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Omega 3 Fatty acids, Ginkgo biloba, Garlic, CoQ10 one week prior.

  • Avoid alcohol 48 hours prior

  • If you are taking blood thinner medications (warfarin, plavix, Aspirin, eliquis, apixaban) please contact M Aesthetics as this will require planning prior to procedure.

  • Consider taking Arnica Montana oral tablets 3x day for 3 days prior to treatment to reduce potential brusing and swelling (This can be purchased on Amazon, at Whole foods, New Seasons, Fred Meyer, etc)

 
 

Post sculptra Instructions

  • Expect swelling and tenderness in the injection areas for 48-72 hours. 

  • Bruising may occur and generally lasts 7 days. 

  • To decrease swelling Arnica Montana tablets AND topical arnica gel maybe used. 

  • You may resume usual activities after treatment. 

  • You may resume your usual skincare regimen and apply make up as normal. 

MASSAGE YOUR FACE AS INSTRUCTED 5X A DAY FOR 5 MINUTES FOR 5 DAYS. 

  • Massage is very important to distribute the Sculptra and prevents nodule formation. Set a timer on your phone, do not skip this important step. This is best done with a moisturizer, arnica gel or cleanser. 

  • Results will take 4-6 weeks to become noticeable, peak results occur around 4-6 months. Sculptra lasts up to 2 years. Plan for follow up at 6 months with yearly treatment for best results.
